Burials
A natural and fitting tribute to your loved one
Acorn Ridge welcomes all
Acorn Ridge Natural Burial Grounds welcomes people of all religions, cultures, backgrounds and beliefs to a funeral or remembrance service.
We're inclusive of everyone regardless of requirements. Whether it be religious, secular, traditional, contemporary, military or anything else - we'll give you the time and space you need to celebrate life and remember those we've lost.
Our team at Acorn Ridge recognise the importance of a funeral and understands that walking away from a loved one can be a difficult experience. Planning a funeral is overwhelming, especially when it's your first time - that's why we offer a variety of options to suit your needs.
You want a funeral service that's personal and reflective of your loved one. We offer The Gathering Hall which allows you to have both a farewell service and a catered gathering after the committal so that the whole funeral can take place at a single location.
The character and ambience of a committall service are very much created by you and your choice of ceremony. It could include a reading of a favourite poem, a choir, a release of doves in the meadow or a simple straight-to-grave committal to reflect and honour the life of a loved one with personalised memorial services.
Whatever your choice, we allow two hours for every burial where the gathering Hall is used to guarantee no one ever feels rushed or hurried.
We also welcome a graveside service if this is chosen or a simple straight-to-grave burial for when a service may have been held at an alternative location. For these selections, we allow a minimum of one and a half hours. From service in the Gathering Hall or on arrival from somewhere else, the coffin is taken to the grave in a gentle procession using our victorian Funeral Bier, Pallbearers etc. this of course is a personal choice.
We are committed to providing a dignified and respectful service, with the utmost care and attention to detail.
